The Government of India had asked Twitter to block about 1400 Twitter Accounts as they were suspected of provoking disturbances in the ongoing farmers' agitation and were suspected of spreading fake information. However, Twitter has not blocked these accounts so far, and the Government has been warning Twitter that legal action may have to be taken against it.
